NEWS FLASH!! A new genetic test is now available for PLL (Primary Lens Luxation). All terriers here at Castle Pines have been tested. We believe that the knowledge that this newest available health testing will give us, is invaluable to our breeding program. When searching for your next family pet please ask the breeders if they are testing their breeding stock for this eye disease. Jack Russell's are a great breed and require love, time and training. They are bred to be working below ground animals and love to run, play and dig. A placed to play is a must for these little Jack Russell balls of fire!
Our Jack Russell puppies go to there new home at 8-12wks of age. Early socialization is very important and the puppies are raised in the house around several children,adults and other dogs. Housetraining is also started. They will have current vaccinations, and worming, flea protection if needed.

Much thought goes into the crosses for our puppies. With the genetic testing now available we test the parents to try to eliminate any problems within the breed. Our terriers are CERF (eye), BAER (ears), and PLL (primary lens luxation). Make sure to ask several questions to make sure a jack is right for you.
Pets : All puppies sold as Pets, are sold with a Spay/Neuter recommendation. There will be a pedigree provided for the puppy and no Stud Certificate will be provided. These dogs are NOT to be used for breeding, but are "recordable" with the JRTCA.
Breeding : All puppies sold as breeding quality are guaranteed to be "registerable" with the JRTCA at the age of one year.
Show Quality : All these dogs will be at least 12 weeks of age. We will talk about your objectives and expectations at the JRTCA trials and help you choose one to fit you needs.
Available Adult Terriers-At times we offer for adoption older terriers that are retired from showing. These two terriers have exceptional temperaments and attitudes and are looking for a forever home. They have both been raised as house pets and are crate trained, housebroken and have logged more miles across the United states by car and plane than most people. They have been extremely socialized would welcome any loving home. They are both Bronze Medallion terriers which is the highest honor given from the JRTCA , so no cats, rats or other vermin.
